Cablecast 5.2.9 Release Notes ========================================================= * Bug 8327 | Digital file thumbnails should not be cached by the browser -Fixed an issue that would cause the web browser to store old versions of digital file thumbnails. The cache should now be busted when the digital file is replaced. * Bug 8367 | Duplicating a show now uses standard media naming conventions -Previously duplicating a show would cause the new media name to contain the show id of the original show. This could lead to long media names on shows that were duplicated multiple times. When duplicating a show the media name is now the same as if the show was created using new show. * Bug 8440 | Public Site's date search functionality uses confusing verbiage -The date drop-down now uses language that is clearer about the search operations being performed. * Bug 8454 | Improve error messages when deleting a file fails -Improved the error message that is displayed to the user when deleting a file through the web interface fails. * Bug 8456 | VOD incorrectly logs warning message for Shows with missing files -The warning messages are no longer logged for Shows that are missing source files. * Bug 8457 | Better status message when a reel length of 0:00:00 is preventing a VOD from transcoding -The message now clearly indicates that no valid length is set. * Bug 8461 | h.264 with mono audio should be marked as invalid as they are unsupported -Fixed an issue affecting file validation on SX Servers. H.264 files with mono audio are now correctly marked as invalid. * Bug 8480 | Improve VOD URL validation -Fixed an issue where the validation for VOD URLs would incorrectly mark URLs with port components as invalid. * Bug 8489 | Incompletely configured VOD repeatedly logs error messages -Cablecast now only logs one message indicating VOD is not properly configured. * Bug 8512 | Record channel should be included in 'Autopilot will be sent for:' list -The Send Autopilot page in Cablecast now lists the record channel. * Bug 8524 | Canceling a VOD can cause other VOD operations to become stuck -Fixed an issue where canceling a VOD could cause all further processing to become stuck. Canceling a VOD now leaves Cablecast in state where in can continue on with the next available VOD. * Bug 8564 | Submitting multiple reindex requests for the same file can cause reindexing to fail -Requesting the reindexing of a file several times in rapid succession will not longer cause a failure. * Bug 8573 | Fix formatting issues with Control Modules guide -Fixed word wrap issues with the Control Modules guide. * Bug 8574 | Cablecast service is now configured to restart after a crash -The Cablecast service now configured to automatically restart in the event of a crash. * Bug 8600 | Cablecast installer can leave processes running -When Cablecast is being installed, the installer now terminates any Cablecast processes that might be running. This address a possible issue that could arise if the removal of a previous version does not properly terminate said processes. * Bug 8608 | Update SX server drivers -This driver update includes several playback, encoding, and performance fixes for the SX servers.
