Carousel 6.2.1 Release Notes

      * Bug 5744 | Carousel can show video artifacts on bottom of  a video
-We resolved this issue with Windows Media Player 11 causing artifacts at the bottom of the screen. The solution is to use the 6.2 feature of VLC, we just wanted to remind everyone.

      * Bug 6009 | The Clone tool loads really slow
-This happened for our support team occasionally. It has to do with setting the permissions of the files that the clone tool installs.

                * Bug 6067 | Default minimum display time shown for bulletins
-We now show what the minimum display time is for a bulletin. This is handy to know when you are setting a bulletin for a manual duration.

      * Bug 6068 | Add help on location based weather to the documentation
-We added some better help documentation about location-sniffing international weather.

      * Bug 6069 | Add information on RSS -No Items- or -All Clear- capabilities to the documentation
-We made the documentation clearer about integrating alert systems and Carousel with RSS feeds

                * Bug 6082 | Exchange EDS bulletins may not load description
-If an exchange server's description field had HTML in it it caused Carousel to not render it. We just strip out that formatting now.

      * Bug 6087 | A better explanation of why the .dat test in the Display Engine can show an error
-A simple documentation thing!

                * Bug 6104 | Support for Contemporary Research tuner
-We added support to control the Contemporary Research tuner via the serial port for Live TV bulletins. Carousel will change the channel of the tuner based on the bulletin.

      * Bug 6128 | Fresh and clean new weather graphics for spring
-A little refresh for the weather bulletins.

      * Bug 6160 | Explicit Proxy server configuration
-We added the ability to specify a proxy server, port, username, and password for Carousel to use. This will override the inherited proxy server settings from the system.

      * Bug 6171 | Line input audio does not fade if the player is on Windows 7
-We totally missed this one as people are using Windows 7 for Carousel players. Now line input audio fading works on XP and Windows 7.

      * Bug 6187 | The Clone tool can deletes files
-If there was a certain error processing the clone file, the clone tool could delete the folder that contains the .csl package.  This is very bad if it is in the root of your D drive!

      * Bug 6188 | ItemImageURL sometimes gets multiple comma separated URLs
-We changed it to only use the first url it finds in the feed for an image.

      * Bug 6191 | Switching randomize background audio list doesnt take effect immediately
-This was a tricky one to find! But we found it and now when you change he random setting in your background audio list it actually does it!

      * Bug 6199 | Add -Clear cache- button to display engine config screen
-We added a troubleshooting tool to the Display Engine's configuration screen. This feature doesn't affect many users, it just helps our our support guys.

                * Bug 6207 | Add Contemporary Research and AVerMedia TVI documentation
-We added some better help documentation in regards to setting up the AVerMedia and Contemporary Research TVI hardware.
